Chicken & Noodle Soup

Crock Pot - This recipe was suggested by Parri VanDyke.

Ingredients

Ingredients
4 large bonless chicken breasts
1 pkg frozen egg noodles (24 ounces)
2 cans cream of chicken soup (14.7 oz each; or sometimes use 1 can chicken and 1 can cream of celery)
1 stick butter (1/2 cup cut into pieces)
1 can chicken broth (32 oz)... more to thin out if too thick
pkg mixed veggies - optional
1 stp chicken bullion (optional)
  carrots
  celery
? salt

?

pepper

 

Preparation

  1. Salt & Pepper chicken & place in bottom of crock pot
  2. Spoon soup over chicken
  3. cut butter and place evenly over soup
  4. whisk the bouillon with broth
  5. pour over soup
  6. place lid on and turn to low
  7. cook for 6 hours
  8. remove chicken & tear into pieces
  9. add back to pot
  10. add noodles & veggies (carrots, celery, mixed veggies)
  11. cook another 2 hours
  12. may have to thin more with broth after done.
